ETHDenver is the world’s largest Web3 and blockchain conference, bringing blockchain projects and companies from around the world to Colorado’s capital every year for days of hackathons, project builds, keynotes and panel discussions, and exchanges.

In addition to Ethereum itself, the event also invited a group of chain-agnostic projects, including Alogrand, Near, Polygon, and Polkadot. Notably, this year’s attendees included state Jared Polis, South African entrepreneur (and Elon’s brother) Kimbal Musk, and Ethereum co-inventor Vitalik Buterin also made a surprise appearance.

This year ETHDenver consists of #BUIDL Week and Hackathon, a total of more than 14,000 people gathered in Denver, Colorado to build the Ethereum and multi-chain ecosystem.

It is reported that in the 10-day ETHDenver2022, the participants had a heated discussions around hot topics such as web3, DeFi, NFT, and DAO.

1. 30 projects stand out and share the 1,000,000 SPORK matching prize pool

ETHDenver2022 has a total of 218 qualified project applications, and the offline Hackathon officially accepts 171 developer projects. Among the nine tracks, 30 offline projects finally stood out and entered the MACI anti-collusion quadratic funding round through the DoraHacks developer platform HackerLink.io, with a 1,000,000 SPORK matching prize pool allocated.

2. ETHDenver2022 DoraHacks developers open

The ETHDenver online hackathon will be launched simultaneously on the DoraHacks developer platform. Before March 24th, developers around the world can sign up to participate in the ETHDenver online Hackathon through HackerLink.io to compete for a $1 million bounty and a $2 million investment fund. And an additional 1,000,000 SPORK zero-knowledge quadratic prize pool.

3. Release the Gamerjibe platform to provide the community with a metaverse participation experience

The ETHDenver conference organizers use the Gamerjibe platform to release a metaverse venue, where users can log in to the Gamerjibe platform to join ETHDenver’s virtual castle, watch discussions and seminars, and connect with other virtual attendees for the Web 3.0 community and enterprise customers Provides an interactive and immersive metaverse experience.

4. Buterin is giving speeches and selling essays

At the Schelling Point ETHDenver mini-conference on August 17, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin gave a presentation titled “e-theory-um blockchain” discussing the knowledge base that drives blockchain development, stating that he is being transformed into the role of the public intellectual.

Buterin believes that while the development of cryptocurrencies is driven by mathematics and social theory, technological fields such as artificial intelligence rely on empirical testing. He argues that emerging technologies that affect the fabric of society, such as cryptocurrencies, can still benefit from theory-based developments.

As he left the stage, the technologist also announced a book: “Vitalik Buterin: Proof of Stake,” a collection of essays.

5. MolochDAO launches the third version of the DAO framework, codenamed Baal

MolochDAO, used by well-known DAOs such as MetaCartel Ventures, TheLAO, and RaidGuild, announced on February 18th the third version of its DAO framework, codenamed Baal.

“The DAO is a coordination tool, and Baal is the ultimate example of coordination,” said Isaac Patka, co-founder and CTO of DAOCollectMinty.

According to the latest reports, V3 will expand the capabilities of DAOs, allowing them to restructure themselves and break existing rigid structures in order to thrive as the space continues to mature.

6. “2022 will be the year that Web3 is widely used”

Founder John Paller believes that this year will be a critical one for ETHDenver and that its larger goals will be affected.

“We think 2022 will be the year that Web3 is widely adopted,” he said, “In 2021, we finally break the shackles, from NFTs to DAOs to digital identities, the movement we have been working hard to advance is sprinting in full force. .ETHDenver’s purpose is to bring together people with the ability to construct, create and transform to continuously advance this new field of application.”
